Job Description

Responsibilities

• Interpret technical drawings and detailed specifications to understand machining requirements;
• Set up and program mechanical lathes to perform advanced machining operations, adjusting parameters as needed;
• Work with a variety of materials, including metals, non-metals, and composite materials, adapting machining techniques accordingly;
• Operate machines to perform turning operations on finished parts using specialized techniques;
• Use high-precision measuring instruments to verify and control critical dimensions of finished parts;
• Make adjustments and optimizations during machining to ensure quality, effectively solving complex problems;
• Perform intermediate preventive maintenance tasks, proactively identifying and correcting issues;
• Provide training and guidance to junior operators, sharing knowledge and best practices;
• Collaborate with the engineering team to solve technical challenges, contributing technical expertise.

Requirements and Qualifications

• High school diploma;
• Technical course in Mechanical Lathe Operation or related fields;
• Advanced knowledge in reading and interpreting technical drawings;
• Extensive hands-on experience operating mechanical lathes;
• Minimum of one year of experience as Mechanical Lathe Operator III or equivalent (documented).
